Emma Raducanu made it to the third stage in three Grand Slam tournaments Grand Slam events during the season.

Britain's Emma Raducanu will not compete in her remaining competitions in 2025 due to a health issue that has affected her in recent days.

The 22-year-old had planned to participate in Tokyo and Hong Kong but opted to return home to regain her health before starting next year's training.

These plans are set to feature trainer Francisco Roig, as the pair have decided to continue collaborating for the upcoming season.

Raducanu underwent blood pressure monitoring while playing the initial match against Ann Li in Wuhan and stopped playing when trailing 6-1 4-1 on an oppressively humid day.

She again required a visit from the doctor at the Ningbo Open this week, where she fell in a three-set match to Chinese wildcard Zhu Lin in the first round.

Her movement was with clear difficulty in the deciding set versus Zhu owing to the lower back problem that has affected her at times this year.

Those results meant an encouraging season, in which she climbed into the world's top 30 for the first time since her previous ranking, concluded with three straight losses.

She held three match points prior to falling to Jessica Pegula in round three in Beijing last month.

She secured 28 victories this year and made it to the semi-final round in Washington, but her standout performance was at March's Miami Open.

The British number one reached the quarter-finals of this WTA 1000 tournament, defeating eighth seed Emma Navarro during the tournament prior to a loss in a three-set match to Pegula, ranked fourth.

She worked with trainer Mark Petchey between Miami and Wimbledon, with Roig taking over for the US Open.

The first plan with the former trainer of Nadal was for the remainder of the year but the partnership will continue, with a training block pencilled in for the end of the year.

The athlete revealed that her three-day trial with Roig after Wimbledon was like a "covert operation" as the meeting was kept under wraps.

The player was close to overcoming Sabalenka, the world number one at the first competition with Roig in Cincinnati in August.

Roig was also with Raducanu in New York, where she made the third stage then falling to 2022 Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina.
