Passionate fans of Ariana Grande are calling for that a person who leaped a fence and touched the performer during yesterday's Wicked: For Good launch be taken into custody or removed from Singapore.

A viral footage depicts the Australian man bypassing photographers and rushing toward Grande while the performers made its way down a promenade surrounded by onlookers.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo immediately guided the surprised actress away from Mr Wen, who was observed being removed of the event by event staff.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram recently that he was "free after being taken in", though legal records revealed that he was scheduled to be present on Friday morning. It is not clear if he was formally accused.

Pattern of Event Invasions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has crashed a performance. His Instagram feed contains recordings of him interrupting other high-profile occasions, including rushing the platform at the artist's Sydney performance in June this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers concert in the area last year.

"There needs to be action enforced against him as this is obviously a criminal offence," wrote an Instagram user, in a reply to a video Mr Wen shared of his actions.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" another Instagram user remarked.

Supporters Show Disapproval Over Ariana's Past Trauma

Numerous fans accused Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had discussed experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder after a suicide bomb attack at the end of her 2017 performance in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and wounding many.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" wrote one more response on Instagram.

A number of attendees also questioned event staff at the premiere for not being vigilant enough; while some called for online networks to ban Mr Wen's uploads.

Aftermath and Event Details

In footage spreading on the internet, Grande appeared shocked when she was approached by the intruder. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen comforting her while Mr Wen was led out by staff.

Grande has not commented on the situation, and the premiere activities continued without further issues.

Numerous of attendees had assembled in a crowd of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good international debut in a Singapore shopping center, including several who had stood in line for as long as eight hours before it started.

The motion picture, to be released on 21 November, is the follow-up of a two-film adaptation of the popular Broadway and West End musical Wicked, which focuses on the surprising relationship between two very different sorceresses.

The musical itself is a adaptation of the twentieth-century story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the good witch Glinda, was dressed in a rosé glittering gown at the premiere while Erivo, who portrays the villainous character, wore a black tube gown featuring roses.

They were accompanied by cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the highest-grossing film of 2024 in the UK, and scored ten Academy Award nods, winning several for outstanding attire and set decoration.
