Curtis Jones has revealed that Salah expressed regret to the group of players following the uproar from his recent interview.

The Incident

Salah was left out from a European match following making accusations and suggesting his rapport with Arne Slot had soured.

“He speaks for himself and he can say his own stuff,” the midfielder said. “He apologised to us and was like: ‘Should anyone feel slighted, I'm sorry.’”

Arne Slot has refused to disclose on whether he was apologised to from the veteran striker.

Moving Forward

He emphasized that the team's response remained positive. “He was his usual self, he was smiling and it was business as usual,” the midfielder explained.

He also noted that a competitor wanting to play is a positive trait. “It's clear there are different methods you can go about things,” he said. “Yet, should someone be happy to just sit out, then I think that’s a bigger problem.”

On-Field Response

Liverpool's form have been impressive in the games following the situation. Jones believes the Salah's words were not designed to cause disruption.

“If passion has boiled over, the source has been from a desire to win,” the midfielder stated. “It's behind us and we’re gelling well as a team, playing well and on a positive run.”
