FC Barcelona to Host Historic Match at Partially Completed Camp Nou over the weekend
Barcelona have announced their first game will take place at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou this Saturday. They will welcome the Basque side in the Spanish league two and a half years since relocating to allow renovations to start.
“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited but 45,401 spectators are permitted inside as per the current authorization. Once fully finished, the Camp Nou is due to hold close to 105,000 fans, a rise from the old capacity. Barça announced completed upgrades featured a new players’ tunnel and new dressing rooms.
Recent Activities
The club conducted an open training session on the home pitch earlier this month. They mentioned they are seeking authorization from Uefa to play their next home Champions League game versus the German side on 9 December at Camp Nou. Their recent games have been held in the temporary ground.
